Marunouchi Innovation Partners Co., Ltd. through Marunouchi Climate Tech Growth Fund L.P. (collectively “MIP”), has invested in GridPoint, Inc. (“GridPoint”), a Virginia based leading Building Energy Management System (“BEMS”) provider. GridPoint provides customers with a cutting-edge, hardware-enabled SaaS platform, delivering real-time data-driven visibility, analysis, and control to help customers optimize energy consumption and operation, and maximize decarbonization.

The upward trend of electricity consumption and price is expected to continue due to rising demand from data centers, industrial sector electrification, and limited transmission capacity. These factors are anticipated to heighten interest in BEMS, drawn by the growing importance of energy efficiency technologies in reducing operational expenses and meeting sustainability goals.

The proceeds from this investment round will be deployed to continue developing GridPoint’s technology platform and support its expanding customer pipeline.
